Optimization of auxiliary fuel tank layout to decrease the aircraft empty weight

Abstract The modern civil aircraft has the trend to utilize auxiliary fuel tank increase range. This paper presents an optimization concept for design optimize placement in decrease empty weight. A model formulation been created satisfy minimum weight requirement and center of gravity limit. To solve layout issue, integer linear programming algorithm applied. In order validate a simulation different calculation cases have built. results show that method can effectively reduce gain high benefits.
